Late Appointment and Cancellation Policy
Effective August 2022
Late Appointments: At Marina Veterinary Center, we put our faith in our clients to keep their appointments and be on time. We know they put their faith in us to see them on time as well as take good care of their pets. When we schedule an appointment, a specific amount of time is reserved especially for each person and pet! Because appointments are in high demand, we ask that clients arrive early for their appointments.
If you’re late: When we reserve time for you, we require all that time to provide you with the best quality care possible. When you are late it decreases our ability to accomplish this. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late for your appointment time, you may be rescheduled in order to meet the needs of those who are on time, and you will be charged a late fee. The late fee is $44.00. Priority will be given to the patients who arrive on time. One late patient can cause the entire daily schedule to fall behind. This is an inconvenience to everyone, and we strive to see every patient as close to their appointment time as possible. If you arrive late, the veterinarian may need to reschedule if you cannot be fit in without inconveniencing others.
If you are late, please expect the following:
Shortened exam time with the Veterinarian and support staff.
Evaluation and discussion of one problem or clinical sign. The veterinarian and support staff will do their best to address the most important problem or clinical sign. Please try to focus on the immediate problem and other problems can be addressed later.
Late Fee. All late appointments are charged a late fee of $44.00.
Cancellations: Since the scheduling of an appointment involves the reservation of time set aside especially for you and your pet, a minimum of 24-hour notice is required for rescheduling or cancellation of an appointment. If for any reason an appointment is canceled less than 24 hours prior, the full fee of the appointment will be charged ($93.50). You may also inquire whether there is an option to meet virtually if you’re unable to attend an in-person session. Please note that most insurance companies do not reimburse for missed appointments.
